The Biyaya Association now has a scholarship program for helping Asian-American seniors to pay for their college expenses.  See the qualifications below.

A scholarship of $500.00 each will be awarded to two Parsippany-resident graduating high school seniors to be used for their college expenses.

Sponsor: The Biyaya Association of St. Christopher Parish

Amount of Award: $500.00 each to two (2) qualified applicants.

Eligibility:

1. Parsippany-resident graduating senior who is of Asian-American descent and an active member of St. Christopher Parish.
2. Must meet the 3 qualities espoused in the selection process guideline which are: leadership, community service, and personal character.

Essay:

In 400 to 500 words, write an essay on the theme:

How being a member of St. Christopher Parish has given me the strength and courage, as well as the faith and love of God to be successful in meeting the challenges of today’s world.

Application Deadline: May 10, 2001

Presentation of Awards: Sunday, May 20, 2001 at the 12:15 PM Mass.
